ImageThe President seems hell-bent on dropping bombs on Syria, the repercussions of which, I have no doubt, will escalate the US’s involvement in Syria and who knows where else. I have done a quick search of opinion polls and the ones I found indicate that public opinion is against an attack. So, if the politicians, elected by the people, are supposed to work for the people who elected them, shouldn’t they abide by the people’s opinion and will? Maybe the public opinion is based mostly on war fatigue (Iraq and Afghanistan). If the government wants the people’s backing, ie the people who pay their salaries, maybe this is one instance in which the government should be really transparent to the point of being see-through and share all its intelligence information to enable us all to make an informed decision. Just saying.         Joanna
